Financial Times Business of Luxury Summit a Must Attend

Even though the term luxury was considered “verboten” during the depths of the recent economic downturn, purveyors of products and services considered “luxury” have been making a comeback. Stock in Tiffany, considered a bellwether of the luxury marketplace has been steadily gaining value. Other luxury nameplates are also witnessing a return to their brands by the deluxe client.
If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area in June, we strongly suggest attending the The Financial Times sixth annual Business of Luxury Summit which will take place June 13 – 15, 2010. The theme for the 2010 FT Business of Luxury Summit is The Medium and The Message. “The Summit will take an unvarnished look at communications mid-and-post recession. If it is true that traditional consumers have changed their buying habits, and new generation consumers have changed their information gathering strategies, how do luxury companies reach them and optimize sales/loyalty?”
As a devoted reader of FT and their excellent weekly pullout How to Spend It, I find FT to offer a wealth of information concerning the luxury marketplace. For those with luxury vacation rentals, the conference brings together leaders in the luxury commerce arena who share their insights. The opportunity to learn from those on the front lines is invaluable. For additional information, you may click through here: http://www.ftconferences.com/luxury2010/
